Although Lincolnshire is renowned for being flat, there are some very steep hills in Lincoln, most notably the aptly name Steep Hill which runs from the High Street up to the Cathedral and the Castle. It is well worth the walk with its 12th century properties and its boutique shops and quirky teashops and cafes, but it is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Why not explore the city by open top bus. You can hop on and off at a number of attractions around the city. City centre parking is most accessible at the multi storey Lincoln Central car park.
